I just got back to Galveston for another semester of school and my buddies and I are looking to do some fishing. We don't have a boat so we spend most of our time wading or fishing from our pier at school. Where are some public places we could find some fish this time of year and what would they be hitting on?

Sandy...hop on the ferry and go to the Bolivar side.....head down to where the canal systems come in from the intercoastal on your left...fish these canals as many of them are dreged out to 7 or 8 feet deep..you can fish from shore...in cold weather , redfish and trout will be holding in the deeper water as it retains a little more heat than shallow water...remember the bays are about 4 ft deep on average....I'd be fishing with live mullet and pinfish or fresh cutbait

Hey, thanks for the response. Me and my buddies will be going out there this weekend to try it out. Let me know how you do out there.
