That's about right but that lake has so much structure at any level it really doesn't matter. Actually, it concentrates the same number of fish into a smaller area.

We just returned from Baccarac and pretty much caught all the fish we needed to catch between 1 and 5 pounds. I assume if you had the desire you could run the banks and catch 200 a day per boat. The bigger fish ( 10 plus pounders ) where deeper and tougher to catch but our group of 8 did manage to catch 6 between 9 and 13.2 pounds.

I went to Comodero last year and it was good for numbers of small fish but really no big fish. 3 days of catching Fork sized keepers was the rule. There were just a few 8lbers caught mostly small Forkers...

Just got back from fishing Salto for 4 and a half days. Weather was great. Numbers were super, 525 total but quality was a little off for that lake. We caught several 8+ but none any bigger. Did locate a huge school and caught 144 in less than 3 hours one afternoon. Best baits were the C-rig WMR flukes in about 12-15 feet and the T-rig WMR Craws in 1-6 feet. Some fish had already spawned, some were on the beds, and others had yet to move up. Topwater bite was not good for us, don't know why. If anyone's going, feel free to PM. I'll be happy to give more details if needed. We just missed you! Our report is very similar to yours. Our group of 4 had 4 over 9 and there were 3 fish on that we had a visual on that were over 10, 2 of them WAY over, but will remain great fishing stories for one reason or the other.... Our best baits were watermelon red senkos, tx rigged gold/cherry F5 Tornados, watermelon red flukes weightless and with a nail weight, albino/green magnum flukes weightless, watermelon red lizards c-rigged, but the best bite by far was our jig bite. I had several Talon football head jigs and Booya pigskin jigs, any brown and green combination seemed to work with a pumpkin/green chiggercraw trailer. I caught fish anywhere from 2 feet to 25 feet on these. Our topwater bite started off a little slow and got worse each day. I would rather throw a spook than just about anything, but the better top water bite was without a doubt Yello Magics and Ricos. I did have a big toilet flusher on a F8 Tornado fishing it weightless, but never had a visual on the fish to give a size to it. But she was big.
