there is a pond down the road full of 3-6in shad. bass have been schooling all week!

got almost all of the fish on a lake fork live magic shad rigged for open water



I weighed all of e'm too, biggest was 4.5lbs from today! woot

I rigged it myself. I loop the line through a regular hook's eye, use the hook to thread the line through the nose of the bait and come out in the hook slot. I then remove the hook and put on a tru tungsten 1/8oz worm weight and tie on a treble.

pond is a secret. smile

until the whole bait gets ripped up!

as long as the weight is centered in the slot it'll run great until 4-5th fish. superglue time!

I also found that it runs better if you cut ba hole in the hook slot and embed the weight in soft plastic. but... it gets torn up quicker

I thought that is what you did by the look of the first pic but not sure. Thanks for the tip, I'll be trying it soon. All I need is 5 fish anyways!
