wednesday was a personal best for me as for as hybrids go. caught two seven pound hybrids and one nine pound hybrid plus about a dozen that were just under 18 inches. also kept 25 whites. most fish caught on slabs in 35 feet of water just off the bottom. sunday my son and i kept 34 whites and one five pound hybrid. most fish today were caught under the birds on sassy shads. found birds working in various areas today, 309, pelican, and 287 hump. very windy but all in all a great day to be on the lake.

landed my personal best hybrid on soft plastic on sunday , my scale said 9.4 lbs but i think she was about 8.5 maybe 9 lbs. caught it in 32 ft of water. my buddy raddog landed a 6.10 lbs on a 2 oz. white and chartruse slab in same area. caught plenty of sandies at 4 stops on the lake . had a good day and personal best hybrid. hey bozz do you think that we caught the same hybrid since all the hybrids are in cc laugh laugh laugh laugh just jokin' cc is my second favorite hybird lake.

Yeah Bob. Take up for us Red Oak boys. We fished CC over the weekend. Really did not want to battle the green perch lotery fisherman.

Had mom and daughter first timers with me. Caught 10+ small hybrids. The mom caught a 20" Hybrid. Also, 30 box fish sandies. Had to work hard for the fish though. Tough day at CC on Saturday.

Schepps ,you and gizzard did right.
I almost got taken out by a 70 mile an hour bass boat. While I was trying to sit down on one of my spots. If I hadn't been watching closely I am sure he would have hit me.
His response was he didn't see me.
My wife would have really liked that.
And the family with me.
See everyone on the lake
Bob

Do you use a spinner with those sassy shads and how big are you using. I never had much luck with those.

no spinners , 1/2 or 3/4 jig heads with a dayglo or pearl 4" sassy shad works best for me. storm wildeye's are very good i have had good success with the pearl and pearl/chartuse. i think it is all about confidence in what you are doing and keeping it simple. welcome to the forum d173. good luck....

Thanks for the info, I will give those a try. Will be taking a short "pre-trip" excursion in a week.
