Where are you going to find a bum in Downtown Austin? Just give them your cans and you will have the best gear watchers / traffic control persons available on the lake!

Sometimes the stories of homeless encounters are as exciting as the fishing stories. lol
I've had to literally step over a sleeping vagrant to get to my swim, spent some quality time with a few during the hail storm, and was shocked when KC offered some dudes his beer.
Can't wait to see what happens next.

there is this one guy who is pretty cool, i call him the dohnut man. the forst year i did the atc with mark we met this guy over at the 1st street bridge, he helped us net fish and went and got lunch for us and brought back this pizza box full of dohnuts. i saw him last year but only for a few seconds.

Great guy! I am sure he will be around this year as I ran into him a couple months ago while fishing and he asked when the big event was. There is another one over at Eilers who is really nice and will jump in the water to net your fish.
