I made it up river last year with my jetski early in the spawn. Their was water flowing down stream but at the bottle neck before the first fall and it was only 3 inches deep. The river was only 20 yards wide and very very shallow for 75 yards then a clear run past the third water fall.

I willing to do a rain dance or whatever it takes. I look forward to this every year and its killing me already, this early in the season to think we wont have enough rain this year for it to be good.

Duece,

Where can I park to get to this Flat Rocks area? I lost access to a boat for my annual trip to the Sabine for white bass. I am looking for some places I can get to on foot. Thanks in advance for your advice.

Planning to head out to CBSP in late Feb. and would appreciate any firsthand accounts of the water level in the upcoming weeks, not what someone's buddy's dad said :-) Photos from the falls or from the ramp would be good. Thanks!

i have a couple friends there. one is the park ranger at the park and the other lives a few miles down the river. they havnt said of any action yet but the river is really low. last year we caught the hell out of em wade fishin shaw island when the lake was so low and no flow in the river.
