4 lb line ( water was crystal clear) with small jig head and bobber i always use.. .....-got the fly rod out (to windy to cast, but i did hook one on the 3rd cast till i decided it was action time) i ended up catching gills on an elk hair caddis and just taking it of the fly hook and putting it on a striper hook on the spinning reel.

hybrids would come up and bust the gills out of the water.... saw blow ups left and right till 10ish. then about 3ish it was back on. insane bank action. every time we hit the 5 ft radius honey hole mark- FISH ON!










-And i had this one certified for the new body of water record -rod and reel. 5.64 lbs. 25 inches..... this one was a male. it proved it too. so now its time for the run to start soon @ RC. im ready. but ill practice here till they show up there........

It's a three mile walk John. Your stupid face would not make it. You would pass out from the extreme hiking. The walk back sucked. 25+ lbs of fish on your back and over two miles rugged terrain, hard stuff , but worth it. Text me when u want to go, a couple days before hand.... To make sure I'm free. U still in grave yard?

Good job on the fish. Hiking 3 miles almost makes you want a little boat to get there if possible of course.
Apparently your hard at work trying to find fish since your walking that far, most i think would have turned around by then.
