Looking for some info on the power pole.Is it worth the money?Heard more good then bad,but don't want to take the chance on a $1200.00 investment that i won't use.

Ive thought alot about buying one but after talking to some people who have them I dont think its worth it. I know of a couple people that told me they would spend the extra on alot of things before a power pole if they had to do it over again. If you dont have two of them and its windy your still on the trolling motor holding your position. thats just one major thing. And if you have two and fishing wind you have to postion yourself to make the poles work and not th way you want to fish.

If you use it it is a great investment. Many applications for it's use.

Went to Monticello on Monday, it was pretty windy.
Had 2 power poles deployed, it held the boat like a champ.
You just got to make sure the water isn't too deep or the power poles don't work

I absolutely love mine and dont see me ever owning another boat without at least one...I use mine every time I put my boat in the water, whether it is for fishing needs or just simply not having to beach my boat near as far on the bank and just dropping the pole. These things have a wide variety of uses too while fishing, even while fishing hydrilla you can lower it down so that the pole slows your boat down so the wind doesnt blow you too fast over that area. hope this was at least a little helpful

Last boat had one and the current boat has two. Will never own a boat without them. They have many applications.
