But Creeker, according to my email...throwing the carcasseseses back into the lake is littering.
My question to the Fish Police would then be " So when I catch an undersized fish deep in the gills and throw him back to float away and die I am littering???"
I guess you have to hope the GM in your area has some brains. Someone said go meet your local GM. I agree.
I will tell you this HLS, if they catch you using ANY part of a game fish intentionally for bait or chum they will ticket you. My buddies got caught using the little belly meat off of 13" catfish on trotlines and got fines. Not sure how much it was but it happened.

Just for the record, Lynn Creek Marina isnt allowed to have a cleaning station by Grand Prairie ordinance but the State Park can because they arent in Grand Prairie I am told. These are on Joe Pool for the record.

I clean my fish at the cleaning station at Holiday Marina, put the fillets in a zip lock bag, get back in the boat with the fish in the bag and motor up to the ramp, park the boat and go get my SUV and trailer to load up the boat. Regards, Bart

I have a current copy of the TPW Hunting and Fishing Regulations. Can someone direct me to the exact page that states that you can't clean fish on the water?

Bartemus... You can not put your fillets in your boat and "motor" anywhere... You can get a ticket. I would "walk" the fillets to your SUV and keep them out of your boat.

Oilman58 - and - Bartemus... I emailed the TPW to ask where the law is stated... here is the response. "Taking them anywhere in the boat after filleting would be a violation of the law. Below is a recent opinion from our law enforcement division."
The regulation is on page 27 of this year's Outdoor Annual (4th bullet under "Possession of Fish").
