Not much out there that I can find. I am looking for a rod for mid depth cranks (6-12') most of the time with the ability to throw deeper ( 14-18') cranks if needed. Wondering if the 7'2 Crucial fits the bill. Thanks for your help.

I love the 7' Cranking sticks. Ive got 2 CRC-C70MH and 1 CRC-C70M. I actually wouldnt mind trading one of the CRC-C70MH for the C72M or C76M.

They are fabulous rods and you can find them like new, or used once, for under or just at $100. Cant beat that price!

our local gander has a few crucials left for $75, and i picked up a 6'6" M cranking rod and I love it. Even though it felt a little flimsy when handling it with no reel, it feels absolutely awesome with 1/4-3/8 oz cranks like it was designated to be used for.

I'm not sure they make a C72M Jimmie. Maybe you meant MH. All I can find on their website is the C72MH. The 7'2 is a rod you don't see for sale too often on the forums. I will keep my eyes open and see what comes up. I am also looking at the Avid MH or H Mod.

The BPS 7' or 7 1/2' Cranking Stick is exactly what you described. I've got 4 of 'em and love 'em for all purposes. Limber tip and stout backbone.
