its not going to diminish when the economy gets better. These arent honest people forced to steal to survive, these are criminals who found a new outlet. There is no deterant. When a law comes into place where people start getting shot for theft things may slow down.

yep, homeowners and the missing items dont cover the deductible. doubt the door latch repair will cover my auto deductible either.

all electronics were hidden, i just didnt think to hide my sons diaper bag (which was a backpack). they saw it and thought it was a computer bag or might have electronics i it i guess. once they got in they found the other stuff. they didnt touch the money in my ashtray, 2 books of checks in my console or my hydrocodone which was also in the console.

they do have a camera one aisle over and are suppose to check it. no camera on the front row where i was parked, who'd a thought you needed one there.....

Someone broke into my neighbor's house - almost exactly right across the street from me - yesterday morning sometime between 10 and noon... I live in a pretty safe/good 'hood. It's not the fanciest, but break-in's don't happen that often around here and it was really surprising finding out something like that could happen, especially during broad daylight. I'd gone out for a little while that morning and came back by noon and could only tell my neighbor I'd never seen anyone parked in their driveway or anything like that... pretty devastating for them. They'd bought that house only a couple-three months ago.

Time to take another look at my homeowners' insurance policy!!!

Some thieves broke into my tuck day after Xmas in Forrest MS, they unbuckled my kids car seat to be able to under the back seat and middle console...They stole my wallet, think they got scared when they opened my wallet and saw my Sheriff's dept ID, since they didn't check under my seat and find my glock....Wish to god I would have walked out of the restaurant and caught whoever it was that would have been fun....

A couple of years ago we were staying in Arlington @ a motel next to 6 Flags and had our truck borke into, they stole mag lite and binocs and my checkbook I forgot to take out(my fault I know). They wrote 15 checks which the clerks around that area were more than happy to take without proper ID(never have figured that one out).I would liked to have caught them that night also, not sure which one of us would have gone to jail, but their stealing days might have been over,at least for a while.

It's happening all over with the economy. They got a laptop out of my work truck even with the alarm going off in front of my house at 3 am. Finally had to park it in the driveway and put everything in the campershell.

I say catch them and then cut their hand off!!!!
That might make people think twice before getting into the thieving business.
It is basically our judicial system who is to blame.
This [censored] doesn't happen in Singapore!!!!!

I got hit there a few months back. They got two spinning reels I had just bought as christmas presents. I wasn't really thinking. I pushed them to my truck in cart along with some other stuff. I put the bags in the cab and the two rods in the back. Since they have no cart return outside, I pushed the basket back to the front of the store. When I came back....yup both of the rods were gone. My back was turned less than 2 min. I remember a guy with a young boy I would say no more than 10 years old walking a few steps behind me. I even said hi to him. I hope it wasn't that guy. I would hate for the little one to see that. Not much worse than a thief!!!

I was at the BPS in San Antonio today. Was having a chicken sandwich before I went in. They have a hired guard walking the parking lot. He saw me and came over and watched me for a while. I'm glad he did.

I had my truck broken into just before christmas, at the office in Addison. No forced entry to be found and they even relocked the doors. They will park in a lot and when you park near them they have a device that records the electronic locking signal. after you walk away they unlock your car and go to work. I lost a garmin gps unit and my trucks owners manual / service book.
