Look at them now. A few sold stupidly high and people that had them tried to dump them and flooded the market. Thats ebay.

I have some I would consider letting go for 190.00 that would be a heck of a savings.

When people realize what is really important in life there will be a shortage of fishing rods.

Must be some kind of scam. The two or three same morons were bidding on those reels.

You mean shill bidding? Shill bidding is where people that the seller knows bids on his/her items or bid themselves with a different account to drive the price up. Even if relatives like a brother or sister or cousin or nephew bid to drive the price up it is still considered shill bidding and eBay will suspend the seller's account for that. Sometimes for a certain time period or indefinitely. It's against eBay rules and policy and if they catch a seller doing that they can get in big trouble. eBay constantly monitors groups of shill bidders and they have ways of seeing patterns and catch people doing it.

But I doubt a seller would risk their account doing that. It's probably just people that really wanted the reels bad so they bid really high. But who knows.
