I had found a small stream connected to a lake somewhere within 1000 miles from Plano. I have been killing them there for a couple weeks now, as some of you know..... We decided we were going for carp on the fly rod, but things got quite interesting.....Ended up getting into some sandies after we had our fill of carp, buff's, gar, and gills, then I spotted a two six lb plus largemouth. That took half an hour to decide they were not hungry. Moved to the hole I was talking about and first cast in the hole, BAM!.... Monster hybrid. Second cast, BAM!.... Even bigger one! Josh finally heard the commotion, and came over and made a cast, and of course, BAM! Instint hybrid striper.....he asked me to put him on the hybrids with the fly rod, I didn't know he was asking to do it in march...I just figured he could go get them now. Finally posted a report on them with pics. And sorry, only two people know about this spot. So I think I'll keep it that way, unless you hire me, wink

had my biggest one certified at bass pro shop. 6.45 lbs @ 24.75 inches. So till it's posted as the new record with the tpwl, this honey hole is owned by me! You will have to pay to play! Anyways, got one of the fish marked off my list of records to beat on the fly rod. More to come soon!

way to go carey

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Sure would like to see Mart T. hook up one of those bad boys on a flyrod, it would be worth it to hire you just to see that. I am not a fly fisherman by any means.

There is a creek on Texoma , oklahoma side , far west end,
where stripers hang under a bridge at daylight this time
of year. Just sayin'

Carey, you have been hiding from me. I told you I wanted to go fishing and was ready to pay to play.Don't want you to blame me (like you usually do) if we dont catch fish.

Look what dropped in my lap, Strasemeier is even going to pick up the tab.
