I've fished pretty much all my life and for Hybrids/Whites full time for the past six (6) years and I've only caught a handful of 10 lb. plus Hybrids. All on Richland Chambers.
My personal best is 13 lbs., and my Customer's best is 15.51 lbs. Best times of the year are now thru-December, and then in March/April. I only use artificials.

I'd recommend either Billy Seaman or Omar Cotter as first or second choice, and I'd fish with them on Cedar Creek. My third recommendation would be me (Royce with Gone Fishin' Guide Service) on RC.

Give me a call if I can be of Service!

Good Luck!

A 10 lb hybrid is not the norm. so, who ever you go out with remember that. But Royce is correct on the times of year. Hubbard use to be full of them,I hear of people catching them every now and then. I havent caught a 10 lb hybrid in at least two years on Hubbard, a few 9 lber but not 10. Most that do use live bait. Cedar Creek would be a good choice and I know RC has really picked up on the hybrids the last couple of years.Any one of the guides that Royce mentioned would be fine. Me, I wouldnt want the pressure to produce a 10 lber laugh laugh

Thank you Royce for the kind recommendation! The fish are there that is for certain and we have even cauight some large fish at night (Both Billy and I) The best I have done is on Cedar Creek at this same time of year just like Royce said, middle of December I had a customer catch an 11-3/4 pound Hybrid and he put that one on the wall.

Tawakoni has put several 10lbs plus Hybrids in the box and at pretty much anytime of year with the Fall/Winter and Spring time being the best. I have even put one 12lber in the box there in the Summer using down riggers.

As far as Ray Hubbard goes you can't get any better info or a guide than John Varner.

The same holds true for RC for Royce, he and his son Adam have put the hours in on the water that it takes to know where the trophy sized fish are on that body of water.

I have caught a total of 4 fish at or marginally over 10 in Lewisville the last 2 years.
I would recommend the Thanksgiving through
March time frame for the the best shot on this lake.
Live Bait and artificals will work and you
have to be willing to loose a few lures to play with the big boys on this lake they like to
run the timber and the old channel in the Winter
months. I have caught alot of 7-9 lb on sassys
fished in and around the timber in the winter.
But this lake is easy to learn and has some quality fish.Good luck.
