Gotta run the lake a little and watch your electronics or watch for birds/topwater activity. I have always run into them around cates point, the opening of sand branch, wolf island, etc...

Most of the birds are gone. Rudy is right on with that depth and any slab will work. We got a two man limit Saturday and again Sunday morning before it got too hot. You can find them with electronics on many main lake humps and points but we were south of Wolf Island. I looks like they are still spawning. Now is an easy time to get them before they start surfacing and scatter all over the lake.

Cates point is where i have found them....on the outside of that tank damn is where they sit and wait for those shad to run through. If you know where that is.
