I was wondering if anyone could help me out and tell me what they think about the Gulp Alive baits. Any personal experiences or preferences would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

They are great in saltwater. I've used the swimming mullet in our power plant lakes in San Antonio and done well catching reds. I've yet to use them in any other freshwater situations. I picked up some of the 1 inch curly tails today, and I'm going to try them fishing for white bass and crappie tomorrow. I'll post up how they did.

I've used the Gulp chicken liver catfish baits and the curly tails and they worked great. The catfish bait stays on the hook really good and caught a couple of stripers too. The curly tails also seem to keep the fish on the hook longer too.

I used the gulp alive 1" minnows fishing for panfish and it works great, even caught a few nice bass on it. I used a 2wt fly rod and a size 12 hook.

I use the Gulp Alive 3" and 4" smelt minnow on a leadhead jig and it catches anything in the lake, north (walleye, pike, crappie, smallmouth) or south (LM bass, sandbass, crappie).

I've used the 6" humpback or turtle back worm with good results....they are softer than normal power worms so they don't last as long, but once a bass picks it up, it won't let go!!

I agree with this, they also work well to get the stocked trout when the super dupers are not working.
I use them on a micro spinning combo.

I've used the 3" and 4" leeches on a drop shot and done very well. Especcially on smallmouth in Northern lakes but I've had success with them here as well.

I've wondered if the saltwater shrimp flavored strips would work for catfish...

I'm a huge fan of Gulp products, from the eggs to curly tails and minnows. Have yet to do well with worm types, but probably just my lack of talent.

Any gulp products good for stripers?
How would you rig for long distance casting from shore?
