I've seen reports of some folks using a Fluke or a Lake Fork Live Magic shad as a trailer on a chatterbait. Wondering if the skirt is removed or not when they do that.

Seems to me that might be a good rattletrap alternative during the next couple of months.

I like to trim my skirt back if using a LFT Magic Shad. Just me.... I also like a little chart spike it on the tips of the skirt!

I remove the skirt. I've had success with and without the skirt using the live majic shad, but I believe the skirt interferes with the water flowing over the LMS's body and affects the action.

Speed Craw, Swimming Senko, or LFT Magic Shad. I leave the skirt on for all except the Magic Shad.

has anyone tried a superfluke on one? i HAVE to learn how to use these stoopid baits this year! they have haunted me, and I even catch a carp on one!

Ive used mainly flukes on mine with the skirt left on...If I was using a mag fluke or something id Probably take the skirt off.
