I see a few mentioning Aqilla, it was super a while back but got too much pressure and is not as good these days IMHO.

Lavon used to be one of the best, but unstable lake levels have made it hard the past few years. There are still a lot of barndoors in there you just have to work for them.

I think the best all around crappie lake is Lake Fork, Palestine, Sam Rayburn, Toledo Bend, Cedar Creek, Fork has numbers and size and they do receive a tremendous amount of pressure and still produce. Palestine has some real slabs if you know where to go. Years ago Lake Livingston had some of the best crappie fishing around, not like it used to be down there anymore.

Lake Fork Monday through Thursday on deep timbered points. The bass races start on Friday and end on Sunday. Seems that all the bass fisherman at Fork want to be on the other side of the lake from where they started.

Tawk and Lavon for me because I'm twenty minutes from either. I can't say Cooper is one of my favorites yet but I'm going to keep going. I did have one of my favorite trips at Cooper fishing Buggy Whip. I just happened to be there on a good weekend.

Rudy,
Come on bro,
You gotta share where the fish are at Las Colinas? I don't even know where the lake is.
Please email me.

When taking a kid fishing, it is a privilege to share in his or her life. Make it the best experience you can by slowing it down and taking the time to teach. The littlest things will stick for life.

Granger hands down.

It's a pretty small lake with two major water inlets. The structure in the river AND the creek is absolutely perfect for Crappie and as Janitor said, you can catch them 5' from the shore in 2' of water.

Bring your boat and spend less than 5 minutes getting to where you're going. Or don't bring your boat and spend 5 minutes walking to the fish.

I plan on spending some time out there in the next couple of weeks.

Micah 6:8 He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

You boys focus on all of the big lakes, what about Proctor, Weatherford, and Lake Leon. These produce good numbers and Proctor will compete in size with any lake that has been mentioned!
