haha alright. At first i thought it was a bass sunfish mix because it had a pretty big mouth for a sunfish

It's a green sunfish. Largemouth bass are in the sunfish family and the greenies do look like little bass don't they?

A bluegill would need to be about 18" long to have a mouth that big! It's definitely a green sunfish.

I don't think its a warmouth...they are a little more brown or bronze and usually have red eyes...judging by the color and the large mouth I would also say green sunfish. In small ponds they compete with bass for food because of the big mouth. I have also heard of them eating baby bass...another reason they are not ideal to stock in ponds.

The other characteristic of the green sunfish, that the fish in the picture has, is the turquoise lines around the head of the fish. You can see one just under the eye and another about halfway down its cheek.
