No luck this morning at the 103 bridge area. I tried to follow the river channel north of the bridge. But, even with the help of my depth finder I didn't know the area well enough. I did find some 14 ft. water and it showed fish but no bites. Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated about that area.

opp. with rain we have received in the last two days, hopefully the lake will come up some. The river is a bit hard to find, but I have been across the 103 bridge several times in the last few days and have'nt seen that many boats on the water. If they were up the river, then you would'nt be able to see them from the bridge. I have not heard of any real good catches in the last two weeks or so. I will talk to some guys tomorrow who fish up there a lot and see what they have to report.

Hey Opp. I was up there Sat. morning trying the hole where I caught them on the 15th. and I didn't do any good. That northeast wind was something.I still haven't perfected my anchoring techniques yet, there must be a science to it because I can drop 2 and it still blows me all over the place. I did try some other areas and no luck so I spent the rest of the time scouting for places to drop my condos I'm building. I did talk to a couple of guys that were tied up to the 103 bridge and they only had 5 when I left.

Yeah henman, I was watching them boats under the bridge. Never seen any real excitement going on. I sure hope things pick up. I really need some crappie.

If your back up there soon there is a bend perty close to the first point on the left from the bridge. It's about a quater of mile up. The river hangs a left right after the bridge runs west for about 300 yards the up to the point i was refering to. On a good fishing day its not hard to find because its lined with boats. Where are you putting in at?

I live off 2109 about 5 miles from Hanks Creek which sound like will be the only ramp open on this side of the lake north of the 147 bridge if we dont get some substantial rain soon. Any idea how much more the lake can drop before Monterey closes

henman, I put in at Ewing ramp yesterday. Used the one closest to the bridge. The other one was too filled up with mud and sand and too shallow. didn't want to sink my suburban. lol

I see both of you live on or around 2109. my dad lives on the corner of 2109 and 147 in a camper/rv park. he loves to fish also. like father, like son.

Opp you better be careful putting in there. I dont remember on which forum I posted but I had a friend sink his partners new Z71 at that ramp. But if its still safe it sure beats the ride from Hanks or Shirley. Another area you can condider is just south of the bridge down by the highline. The river is real close to the edge of the stumps on the east side .In fact there is several bends between the bridge and point you see about a mile down on the east . Between the two points I have mentioned is where the majority of the action is.

Ok, thanks henman. Yeah, your post last week about that Z71 is why I backed down both sides first. Then realized the ramp on the north side was the safest. I will be careful though. Nice talking with you and sidewinder. Hope to meet y'all one day.

Well, I put out 9 willow trees about a month ago out of mill creek. But, my marker has been cutoff the top and I cant seem to find the exact spot on my fishfinder. I try to read all of the public forums and go wherever the other guys are catching. I guess I need to build me alot of condo's and fish my neck of the woods more.
