I've been catching a few but not in good numbers. The water temp this weekend was ~78 but I bet with these cool nights it has dropped a little.

I fished Conroe on Sunday morning and got skunked! I fished the bridge with both jigs and minnows and didn't even get a nibble.

I couldn't even get catfish to bite on Sunday!!

Gitbow, how soon do you expect the crappie fishing to pick up? Are you still fishing the brushpiles?

I don't know man. I thought it would already be good. Maybe when the water temp gets down to 70 they will turn on in 10 to 14 foot. We caught 12 real nice ones a couple of weeks ago but nothing as good since.

Duck,

We got on the water at 10:00 and fished till 2:00 and caught about 20 catfish. Maybe it was just a late bite.

Whitey,

Were you drifting Caney or at the 1097 bridge? I tried 4 different spots at the bridge and then tried casting up shallow under the birds. I had plenty of fresh shad that I caught in the cast net at Anchorage Marina (at the dock with the gas pump).

Duck,

I was anchored between Lake Betty and 1097. It was rough to! I passed over a brush pile with mucho fish on it but didn't get it marked and I didn't have any minnows.

I know in years past, I've caught a fiar amount of cats in the fall against the bulkheads. Has anybody had any luck in shallow water lately?
