Question i hav a lowrance LMS-522c igps graph...the internal antenna take 20 to 30 min sometimes longer to find satilite signal will the external puck help this prob..

you have this unit face straight up (screen), it will take awhile to lock on or it may not lock on. because the gps ant. is on the back side and signal is getting block by other inter stuff inside the unit. it needs to be place almost straight up and down or tilted back slightly.

also make there's not a check mark WAAS block.

Make sure it is set on the igps antenna, I got an HDS 5 and it was not sset on the igps antenna from the factory, I tried for 3 weeks to find out what was wrong, finaly my wife helped me find the problem!!!

Make sure you have good power connections as well.
