Glad you could make it over to Fork Gene, it is always a pleasure getting to fish with you.

I know what you mean about feeling the bottom, that is why I have switched to a 1/4oz on the lower & 1/8oz on the top. I like to let out a little extra line and move the boat real slow kinda draging the jig along while lifting it and letting it fall back.

Looking forward to meeting up with you again soon.

Steve

We've been on the water every day this year! Best fishing we have had was was Friday, followed by today. Only out for a few hours today. On the water at 10 and off at 2. Cool early then the wind DIED to nothing. By noon it was nice. The large number of boats the past few days were not on the water today.

We fished double jig rigs and caught fish from 3o' to 42'. Color did not seem to make any difference. Fish were just of the bottom.

And then the Cowboys won. Great day.

Hey TM487VS Sure was nice that my partner decided to participate in the catching on Sunday, cause Saturday he was beginning to get heavy. The bigger fish on Friday was definitely an encouraging way to kick of 2010. Nice ring to "catching fish everyday this year". Sure will be nice if we could say that one December. Caught crappie, bar fish, sand bass, but no bucket mouth. Missed the cycle, but always next weekend, although it looks like its gonna get cold, should help the fishing though. Keep slabbing!

Heavy? Heavy was sitting down on Friday in the middle of the boat getting lessons from the neighbor's young buck! Resemble anyone you know?

That young buck can fish and he certainly is welcome in my boat anyday. No disgrace in being a fast learner. thump, lift, keep on slabbing
