shad works great on jugglins, i use it all the time

of coarse not, i couldnt juggle not narry a bit.
i put my jugs out where ever i can that looks fishy,
im kinda limited seeing as how i use a kayak, wind
plays a big role in where i can & cant go.

Do you weight them down or free float them? I do both but seem to have better luck weighting them down. I think it has to do with tension on the line and setting the hook better with weight? Just my thought on it.

I put about a 1 lb wieght on the end of a 25 foot jug line with 5 hooks spread out starting about 5 foot from the jug. Learned how to make my own jug wieghts on here from another post... solo cups, coat hanger, and quickcrete

i do both. on lake when i can get on the boat with whitneycatfish i let em drift, some of my weights are half a lb,
some are just an ounce or so. on my stationary/anchored jugs I have about 4 or 5 lbs of weight. I use heavy weights b/c I fish the river & if they release water & you have a fish on it takes that weight to keep it from wandering off farther than i care to paddle

o & I make my own weights with 1.5"x1" solid rectangle stock, i weld a chain link on the end for a tie off point. works great
