I was thinking of the Eagle 320 Fish Elite. The 320 depth finder sounds good (I am replacing an Eagle Ultra III) but does anyone have any knowledge or advice about the Eagle GPS units. Is it worth the extra $150? Any advice will be appreciated.

I am considering the Fish Elite 320 as well, but I though the difference was more than $150. I thought the 320 was $169, and the Fish Elite was like $450. That is a differnence of $280. Even with the coupon at BPS, the difference is $225. Let me know if you found a better price.

Could you guys answer a couple of questions? Are you guys using some sort of dash mounting kit with the Lowrance GlobalMap 100 GPS? I am thinking about going with the seperate units. An advantage I like is when technology improves for one of the units, you don't lose you investment in the other unit. Any help would be great. Thanks.

550,
I am using a ram dash mount for my global map 100 on my boat and I love it. Its nice having the depth finder on one side and the gps on the other side. I got mine at Bass pro shops and I love it.

I'm using the Ram mount too, although I wasn't able to get mine at BPS. If you go to LEI.com, you can find just about any bracket or attachment that you're liable to need. There you can order on-line, and I got mine in about three days. This mount has a gimble on it, so you can adjust the angle of the Lowrance GlobalMap 100 to suit you. BTW, I've had three GPS's now, and the 100 is the easiest to learn to operate.

Ordered my 320 from BPS last week from main store in Springfield, Mo. It was back ordered (as usuall). Got notification last night of shipment.
Looks like they are getting some restock. Of course I don't know about the Dallas area store. WTX boys are too far away to go there (300 miles). Also, Lubbock does not have an Acadamy yet and it is nearly 200 miles to Amarillo. Good thing for online ordering.

If I get the Eagle 320 I will need a separate GPS. Does anyone have any information about the GPSmap 76? It looks like it might have all the bells and whistles.

Sorry Brooks, but don't know a thing about that one. But something that I've learned in the past years that GPS units have been available to the general public......the KISS theory (Keep It Stupid Simple). GPS units are notorious for being complex and complicated; and for the guy that his life depends on it; it should be. But for fishermen.....KISS it. You'll have a much longer lasting relationship with your investment.
