 what time of year to use c rig?????

i lovw throwing the c rig but i never know what time of the year to throw it. i always thought that they would hit it a littel better in the winter months.

They will but normally you have to lighten up with a short leader to feel the bite.

I use the water temp to determine when I throw a rig. I start at about 60 degrees. And throw it the rest of the yr until about mid Oct. Or until the shad go back iin the creks for the fall.

I throw it year around. Great mid and deep water presentation. Throw it anytime you would throw a TR or SH. Different presentation and will help put more fish in the boat

I like to use it mostly for post spawn and summer but it still works good during the pre spawn but then again most baits will work good during the prespawn.

It has a plastic worm on the business end.. there is no wrong time to fish a worm.
It's a 4 Seasons Presentation, shallow or deep it will catch fish year round.
You just have to slow way down in the winter and dead stick it more.

I use c-rig from Jan 1 -Dec 31, just change presentation to fit conditions, change speeds and leader length as needed.

I will only throw a C-Rig from January 1 thru December 31. Other than those times,I will never pick one up.
