new to the area, wanted some gps numbers of the liberty ships and other close wrecks to the packery channel. Also hows the rig fishing around here? theres alot within sight of the jetties.

Go to http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/publications/landwater/water/ for pdf brochures about the various artificial reefs off TX - they have GPS numbers etc.

ya might check out the 8th USCG districts "Local notice to Mariners" they have all the bottom obsrtuctions and hazards to navigation along with a discription and the Long. and Lat. for each. You can pick up a lot of "spots" and most of them won't be swarmed over by the skeeter fleet. Just go to the USCG web site, and bring up the LNM's.

Haven't tried any of the rigs close to the jetties but there should be some slot redfish and maybe some gulf trout
