I went out with my son and grandson today. ( love it! )

We went to a large rockpit in Waxahachie that we have done well in before.

Spent around 4 hours fishing worms, minnows, secret 7 and frozen shad.

Not a bite.

We have went to Joe pool two weeks ago, Waxahachie lake last week,
We must be wearing fish repellent.

I'm not sure we could score anything at Long John Silvers.

Are we the only ones?
I keep seeing the post where you folks are tearing them up, and I am envious.
I'm just saying-----

not catching nothing either of course no boat to be able to go. guess that is why not catching nothing.

Not catching them is easy this time of year. Keep reading how people are doing it and trying it on the water & you'll figure them out.

The closest I have come to catching a fish here lately is a box of fish sticks from the freezer.......minced at that!!

I've never had better information available until I found this board.
I will either figure it out or it will start getting warm again.

It is slow, but I've been able to put some in the boat on a crankbait in shallow wood 8-10 ft. Nothin big but I got my line streched.

I threw some cranks yesterday also but think I just didn't stay with one bait long enough--

I had fishing ADD.

I hate it when I do that.

It's tough for me. Bites are hard to come by, but they are usually better fish when they do decide to bite. Try to stay focused and they will come around.

Pretty tough on Livingston water temps today were 47-49 deg.
Had a couple of little bumps, partner caught a dink on rattle trap.

I'd have to get out. I don't handle the cold as well as I use to.

Fishing's been slow for us. Untill yesterday though, I haven't been skunked all year. Fixed that. Oh well, Gotta keep trying! Good luck!

I shouldn't complain, I still always have a great time.

I have to remember "Fishing" isn't allways about just catching fish.

Sometimes I need to realize that they are just getting bigger for when we do hook 'em.

"A mans got to know his limitations." Don't go when they ain't bitin'.

Several people are not catching now.

This is a GREAT time for tuning up your fishing equipment!

In the last week I have:

**Cleaned and oiled 12 reels

**Replaced two rod tips and 3 line guides

**Tied 20 hair jigs and 10 steamers

**Sorted through 8 tackle boxes arranging hooks, sinkers, lures, etc.

**Replaced batteries in minnow bucket oxygenator

**Put deep cycle battery on trickle charge

**Repaired holes in two cast nets

**Respooled 4 spinning reels, 2 casting reels and a half dozen or so Zebcos

**Made a homemade topwater plug painted the old classic Redhead/whitebody

**Made a display case of 8 very old fishing lures

These were all "indoor" projects that were very satisfying. Even Wifey liked the display case of old lures and didn't gripe when I put it in the den!
