I like 1/16 oz #4 sickles. I do go 1/32 or smaller for fishing with my fly rod.

I was wondering about 1/8 compared to 1/16, and now I am leaning to 1/16. Maybe I'll go half and half.

I dont throw 1/8 often, I like the slower fall of the 1/16. back when i fished lake corpus christi alot I would use a 1/8 on the bottom of a rig and a 1/16 on top when fishing deep out by the dam. If you are fishing in current the 1/8 can help you get down quicker though

I dont really mind the drop on jigs. A slower drop could get the attention of another fish. I'm goin with a 1/16.

Get 1/32,1/16 and 1/8. Everyone has an opinion on this so the best way to find out is to try them and see. JMO

Get an assortment from Crazy angler. The 1/6 craw head with a #4 hook is nice & is also avaliable in a 1/24 with a #6 hook.
Might also get some 1/16 & 1/18 plain ball heads with the # 4 hook.
I sure like the Craw heads because they wobble some on the drop & drop slower than ball heads.
Just my 2 cents worth.
A bad day on the lake is much better than a good day at work!

Ya'll make good pionts but are makin me crazy with fancy talk. I hve never looked at hook sizes bfore and just wanted to know what the standard is.
