That's the sounds that my knees make these days, and also where we fished today.

Papa Peck and I fished one of Lewisville's creeks and had a great morning. A spectacular sunrise, 4 or 5 deer, and 35 fish. 17 Sandbass, 16 Crappie and 2 bluegills.

Sandbass are getting bigger. a couple more weeks and things will really break loose. 60 degree water.

I love it. So many places to fish, so little time.

Here's what we saw

Here's a nice one Ernest caught. Several this size and some even bigger.

I also learned two very important things today.

1. A 24 volt trolling motor does not work well off of one 12 volt battery.
My trolling motor wasn't working worth a toot this morning - like the batteries were not charged. I knew I had hooked the charger up yesterday so they should be good. Checked them when we got back and one of them had zero volts - took a dump on me. Went to Walmart and got it replaced for N/C. Guess I'll have to go again tomorrow so I can make sure the problem is fixed. wink wink

2. I learned how to tell the difference between an old fisherman and a new fisherman. Ernest will have to explain that one. I took a picture of my tackle box in case you need help explaining it Ernest.

The water temp is rising - sure am looking forward to the spawn and the shallow fishing.
Very enjoyable morning - weather was very nice and excellent company.

Beautiful photos guys! Man you got an early start. So there were a few deer in the area. That creek is in one isolated area. I will be on the lake tomorrow. May not make it all the way to that creek. Got a hot tip on some hybrids.
