 Where to start on Granbury?

I normally bass fish but want to take my dad crappie fishing close to home. I live close to Granbury so thought I would give it a try. Do I need to start on the bridge columns or find deep docks that have been brushed out? I just need a little nudge in the right directions so I might can find them a litter quicker. Your advice would be appreciated.

Keith I fish granbury all the time but in the winter I'm no help. I went out for just a while today, mainly just to run the boat a little and to try out a new fishfinder. I fished for maybe an hour and didn't get a bite. That said, I don't know how to find fish in the winter. The other 8 months or so of the year, I can catch them here so if you'll wait for early spring, give me a shout.
 I don't live for the thump, but I sure do like it.

Go by and talk to Rick Taff at the Lake Granbury Marina on Hwy 144, they all so have live bait.
