I went to Tyler to visit my mom over Christmas. She tried real hard to show me all the cheap nice houses you have out there. It was almost tempting. There was one on 17 acres with a two acre pond and the house was huge for around 350,000. When we were flying in it looked like everybody has a big pond in thier back yards. I bet you guys have them stocked real good too. We drove around lake palistine and I have to say that was the biggest lake I have ever seen. Dang I wouldnt know where to start. I would probably start on all those richy looking boat houses.
Now I understand why you all need those super fast bass bots. I have one too but I ususly only go up to 50-60 mph It only takes a 10-15 minutes to get to the other side of a good sized lake in So Cal.
Plus it looked dangerous out there. Even in the middle of the lake there were stups sticking out. I did notice while flying in that everything was flat. No moutains, I assume your lakes are shallow.
And finaly for any of you guys who havent visited the Tyler zoo you have to go see the bluegill they have in that aqarium. Now those were impresive. There were a couple that looked to be 3 lbs.
You guys have it good over there. Nice affordable houses and tons of lakes to fish and your walmarts even sold guns. But I wont be moving anytime soon. I'll reconsider if you all start producing some 20 lbers smile

Sorry to hear your going back to that communist country. Pretty soon those liberals over there are not going to let you try and catch any of those 20lbers. If we could just get an IN and OUT in Texas we would have everything. LOL

There you have it. No reason to leave the Republic of Texas

In an out and a Carls Jr. Plus some REAL Mexican food.
I hear it gets real humid out there and lots of mosquitos but it was nice an cold when I was there. I liked it. The people were nice but they talked kinda funny. JK, They didnt seem much different then the regular non liberal Cali floks like me.

All of the bluegill in Texas weigh 3 pounds. Isn't it like that everywhere....

We catch bass over 20lbs all the time. We just keep it under wraps so we don't get a flood of anglers from out of state.

We're going to need a much, much bigger 'ultimate bluegill' smile

We got better Mexican food than anywhere in Cali. That was what I missed most when I was out there!

That's just wrong Splash. You have Tex-Mex here. Don't confuse that with REAL Mexican food like we have in So Cal. Nacho cheese or chili on enchiladas!?!?!?!? Please! I just got back from San Diego and we ate good Mexican food several times while we were there. I lived 35 years in SD, and have been here almost 11. There's a lot of good about both places and some bad too. Fishing is great in both places too. Just different.

I dont know about love but I do Like Texas alot. I may someday move there. I do have to respectfuly disagree about the mexican food though. Texmex is like taco bell. it doesnt even compare to REAL Mixican food. If I did move I would have my own little lake/tank/pond or whatever you guys call them and I would grow a 20lber.
I would also make my goal to have the most recorded SAL's caught from public lakes.
Does anybody know who has the most and how many?

I don't need a 20 lb. bass to be happy. An 18.19 will do fine.
