I had been reading posts about this on TFF and ignored the warnings. Now it is time to eat some crow.

I fished Tyler today and launched at HillCreek Park. Came back when I was done fishing and found a passenger side window on my crew cab truck busted out. Nothing was stolen ( I think) and didn't even appear to have been broken into. Apparently they just wanted to bust my window out or got spooked. Going to cost me $150.00 to fix it.

To those of you who fish Tyler and launch at HillCreek..........You may want to pay the $$ at the marina. You can launch a LOT of times there for $150.00 I said it would never happen to me even after I read on here it had been happening.

Crow tastes like %*&^#!!!!!!!

This happen to me. Alot of times what they are "after market" stereos. If you have tinted windows and they can't tell if you have factory or after market radios they bust your windows to see which one you do have. If they see you have a factory radio they don't take it and just move on to their next victim.

There are cameras and recorders that will work on 12 volts. The cameras are tiny and the recorder can be hidden on the truck. I think they are fairly expensive though. Gonna check it out.

I hate that man, a friend of mine had a meeting with the city the other day regarding Lake Tyler and mentioned the crime at Hillcreek, we'll see if they do anything or not, but I would definately launch at Concession 1

What concerned me about the issue is I had to call 3 law enforcement agencies to figure out who's area HillCreek was in. I called the City of Whitehouse and the dispatcher told me it was Smith County's jurisdiction. I called Smith County and they asked me what the nature of the crime was. I told them about the incident and told me it was the City of Tyler's jurisdiction.

No wonder this is a crime hot spot. Law enforcement agencies don't seem to know who's area this is. As many times as I have been to this ramp in the past year I do not ever recall seeing ANY law enforcement patrol the area. I will see if I can figure out jurisdiction of this area when I speak with the detective today about the incident.

It's a shame that criminals are able to dictate our usage of public facilities.

Go out there tonight and shoot fireworks until someone shows up and then file a report.

City of Tyler owns the lake as well as most of the property.

Call either of these guys they are the Lake Supervisor's/Lake Patrol. They are both officer's.

Lake Supervisor Lynn Guthrie

Lake Supervisor James Weaver
