for $200 it's hard to get more than a diving mask and a snorkel now days. The Garmin 300c is a decent on in that price range. It's not the best on the market but a good unit for $200.

Lowrance makes the X67C which is a color screen for 250.00. I had it on my bass boat and really loved it. For the price range, you are kinda limited. I prefer color over b/w, just gives you a better sense of what is going on underwater.

The Garmin 300C is the same price as the X67C. Gives you two to compare.

For $200 I would go black and white over color....you'll give up screen size, pixel count, and power just to have color...not worth it in my opinion.

Look for an Eagle 320 or 480 in that price range.
