Pros: 30# test is the same diameter as 8# test mono, it is more sensitive, doesn't stretch like mono.
Cons: cost more and gets wrapped around the guides too much.
The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.

I have used Power Pro and Sufix 30# test, currently using Power Pro 20# and really like it.

I dont waste my money. Still use old Stren mono, keep my drag working right and havent had a problem in many years. It's all in the leader and drag. I still catch bull reds on 14 lb test...but prefer 20. Havent lost a fish yet due to line breakage.
Now, Donald...please pick John Bolton for your running mate.

Depends on the kind of fishing your doing. Bottom fishing where you want to feel the strike... braid. Need to horse the fish out of heavey cover.... braid. Need a little stretch in the line.... Mono.
I especially like the smaller diameter and more breaking strength of braid. I use it on spinning and casting reels.
Fishing Tip.... get yourself a small chrochet needle. They are great for removing backlashes.

You don't waste the money on braid if you know haw to fish.WITH THE SAME BRAID YOU CAN FISH 3-4 YEARS WITHOUT PROBLEMS. I am fishing with FIRELINE SMOKE 4LB,for over 10 years and SPIDERWIRE STEALTH 6LB,SPIDERWIRE ULTRACAST 10LB.for 6 years without problems +fluorocarbon leader 2lb-15lb in sweet water and saltwater, If you are good fisherman you can catch more fish with braid+fluorocarbon leader(braid is sensitive and thinner, comparative with mono, and fluorocarbon leader is abrasion rezistant and practic is invisibile for fish.
I never fish again with mono, for me braid is better if you don't choose fast rods but medium ,medium-fast rods

braid has some advantages like getting baits down with little weight and casting light lure far, but you will lose more fish on the hook set until you get used to it!
