Fished the Guad yesterday started at hucho springs before lunch so we get a few in the cooler and let my son catch some he caught 2 I got 1. After lunch we went to Rio Raft and it was on. Totaled 9 with about the same amount lost. smallest was 12" the rest were 15-19" all were caught on my ultralight using a firetiger mepps size 2. At times the bites were every 3-4 casts. Did fly fish a bit and hooked into what felt like a rock it was a big trout but I think I fouled hooked it and lost after 5 min fighting near my net.

Great report. Sounds like Rio Raft is the place to go. Were you wade fishing?

I think color does matter big time. There were other around me fishing using I think blue spinners with no bites. I have always done great with mepps firetiger color, and blue fox makes a very similar color spinner that works nearly as good. I have also found gold super duper has out performed both copper and silver this year.

Those fish look like footballs! They must have plenty to eat!
Way to go, and those are great pictures, thanks for posting!
Just one more cast!
