Hey guys im going up to Texoma on tuesday with one of my freinds. We are going to throw our waders on and see what we can get with our fly rods (i will bring some normal rods incase its to windy) Last time i went to this spot in the fall i got a ton of white's and largemouth bass. the spot is a little cove with a pretty nice drop off at certain areas but i couldnt tell you exactly how far and steep. You think there will be anything hanging out there or chasin shad like some hybrids, bass or sand bass? If you have some advise let me know thanks guys!

It will be tough this time of year. They usually hang deeper so getting them from shore is a problem unless you can find a quick drop off, close to shore. Some folks say you can get them shallow in the winter but I've not seen them there. We've been finding them in about 32' drifting points.

Did you see the forecast for tomorrow? More snow coming. Careful if you head there. We saw several car off the road even on Sunday.

"I" would try around Highport. There was a ton of baitfish there this weekend, and I have had good luck fishing there this time of year from the bank. Also, on the N. side is some good fishing too. Like if you were coming out of Highport and you take a right, that point right there can be good. Good luck!

Fish are holding on rocky structure big time right now... 2-10 feet...Like dgruff says those places around highport have been giving up fish everyday. I caught 8 good fish just outside the marina waiting on my customers today...you coulda got there from the bank Ya wanna try something real fun ..go there at night and fish in the marinas around the lights.. ya might get run off by security but night fishing in the marinas is awesome . another good place to try would be in the BM arm...paradise cove resort and flowing welss will give ya some good bank access..lots of good fish in those cuts and coves in the BM arm. Probably wont get hot and heavy action bt you can catch-em

ya cant buy shad but you can buy shiners at the tackle box just up the road..Find your way to the north or south of the marina and walk the rocks heading out into the main lake...I wouldnt even mess with live bait. Throw a swim bait of some sort.

Hi JD
I took your advise on the night fishing the lights you and Marc Mac gave me at the last fishing show and have been killing them until two weeks ago, Walnut Creek dried up? Is it because the fish are in deeper water than 15ft at Walnut or just not there? Man is that FUN!!!! I have been fishing with glow flukes and 1/4 to 3/4 oz heads.
So not to highjack. I found some fish in the rocks close to Highport Sat afternoon. I would try that area around Highport.
Thanks
Haak
