HotRod; go to www.catchcrappie.com. Ernest Paty is one of the resident expert for Crappie Fishing. He has a really good web site to show you how. Don't forget to email me back the GPS coordinate so I can give you a free trail.

Hot Rod,
Find a place in the water where you have 2 seperate landmarks and make sure you mark the excact depth...and then when you come back just line them up your landmarks with the correct depth and bingo!...works for me for my open water "sunken-mess" at Cedar Creek...
