99 merc 125 has a vibration at idle and at slow speed but not at 1/4 to full throttle .Owner says its the weight of the prop the same as the flywheel. Is this BS?

I had a 96 merc 75 that was the same way when i replaced the prop to stainless and had to take it back and have it tuned. After that it was ok, still had a slight vibration but not very noticeable. They said with the extra weight it would make a difference from the aluminum i had on it. Im sure maybe steve at csp if thats the name can chime in on a better explanantion of it. mark

I have had props out of balance that would cause vibration, more noticable on a 3 blade.

Like told before, below 1,800 rpms it's only running on two cylinders, and shakes like a wet dog, when it's running on all four it smooths out. Most prop/shaft other vibrations get worse as rpms increase.
So, if it goes away when the two cylinders kick in, there's your answer.
