if they are hungry they will bite it. they need to look like a medium sized minnow. and you have to be on the fish as well.....

Great thread ! Got me hot to give it a try. I don't have a great deal of time off work so please bear with my possibly dumb questions. It's an attempt to at least take the right equipment so I don't waste trips with the wrong goodies.
Rods? Something long to reach way out, or something short for ease of toting? Fast action or kinda noodly?
Slip bobbers. The red and white plastic ones or something a slight bit more exotic?
Got the line part...Thanks Tarponfly.
Clothing. Something that's weather appropriate I'm sure, but do ya'll recommend boots, like big rubber boots, or chest waders, like flyfishers?
Tackle boxes? I'm guessing small, light and tightly compact, like flyfishers' chest packs? I know mine will have at least one sandwich and a Dr. Pepper.
Thanks for this thread Rudy, perhaps you Papa Peck and I can surround them like we did at LL. smile

I have been creek fishing my arse off. Literally.. I carry that tube about 3/4 miles like a backpack. Then fish from it yesterday 8 hours. If you have never done this, and REALLY love fishing, you have to give it a shot!! Of course it is really rewarding when you are successful.

Yesterday with my buddy Carl 39 over 11 with a few over 14".

Last Sunday

Last Saturday

Fished Tues and weds and gave away 30 those 2 days.
