Alright guys it's about time to try and get the show on the road here. I've heard from around a half dozen of y'all right here in Abilene who are interested in going out for crappie. I'm dying to make a serious attempt at catching a mess of em real soon as my freezer is almost bare !!
Who isn't tied up in tournament fishing and how soon do y'all want to try to organize this ? I'm off this weekend and plan on trying a few local lakes to see which are best for slabs now. One possible problem is a few lakes I've mentioned to a few guys, they don't want to launch their bass boats on a primitive ramp, these being just dirt and gravel ramps. How many of us have smaller boats that these ramps aren't a problem with who have room for "non boaters" in this case ?
I'm generally not an early morning person since I work swing shift but can definitely get up real early, or stay up all night for that matter if y'all want a morning trip !
Anybody out of the area is welcomed to join in too, heck I might even tell IceMan about this !! I work with him now here in Abilene and we've been talking about getting together since he's having serious withdrawls from not fishing in so long ! eek
Feel free to email me for a lake or two we might be interested in having this at, I've got one in mind that has hardly no pressure any day of the week and has a nice amount of crappie in it too.
David C.

4 out of 5 voices in my head say call in sick and go fishing !

David, count me in, but I would have a hard time launching my 21 foot bass boat on a gravel ramp. I could go early or in the evening on the weekends. I really don't know of any lake, don't fish much for crappie but would love to go sometime and learn the tricks of the trade.
