Crappie are still biting good at Cedar Creek. Today was a great day with a great stringer before 10 am. The wind has been the biggest factor. Today the lake was calm and I was allowed to hit 3 spots, catching fish at each spot before calling it a morning. The crappie I have been catching have been coming out of 25-35ft of water. If you can find a steep drop off in this depth range it should hold fish. Today I caught most all the fish on a creek channel that runs through the middle of the lake. It has a drop off that most people wouldnt pay any attention to. The drop is only about 3-4ft, but it was enough to hold lots of crappie. When you pulled your minnow down that ledge you were guaranteed a fish. The action was fast for about 45 minutes catching nice crappie. The water temp here is 53 and the lake is nearly 5ft low.
Any one wanting to learn these techniques or just go fishing give me a call or email me. I am available to guide 7 days a week.

Chuck,

Thats great, after talking to you last night I was depressed that I could not fish with you today. I really needed to get away and relax. Then I woke up this morning about daylight and the wind was calm. On the way to my training class I prayed you would have an awesome day. Reading your report it sounds like you did. Talk to you later. fish fish fish

Thanks it was a great morning. I wanted to go again today but the wind was terrible again. I will be glad when it gives us a break. Its too bad the lake is so low, I sure would like to get my boat into the creeks to escape the wind.
