I've got an Avenger and it's been a great reel. But I really like the Daiwa RegalPlus BRI a little better and it's only a few dollars more.

But you won't go wrong with the Avenger. thumb

iv used all those reels except the penn, the others are are good reels, the salt striker is a beefed up okuma with a lifetime warrinty from cabelas, the afb avengers are good but have a habbit of the bait runner not engaging at certin spots, the expixor is a better reel than the avenger. the penn im sure is as good if not better.

I had the salt striker and it is a good reel but it is prone to the baitfeeder not engaging occasionally. I second Ben and think the Daiwa regal plus is the better reel

http://www.tackledirect.com/daiwa-sealine-black-bite-n-run-spinning-reels.html ALL THE WAY! Long cast spool, very very smooth reel. I have a friend who has one,and I got one for x-mas. I have the Okumas, but they dont touch these Diawas IMO.

do you have a pic of them on a carp rod so I can tell how big the pit actually is. Looks like it holds a lot of line

You really need to throw a Shimano option into the mix. The 3500B would make your Predator ROCK!

Look for the 3500B. There may be a different price in store vs Online.
