Sniper, 1SpeedBilly, and I launched at Marshall Creek, went past the 377 bridge as far as we could go, and caught fish but not the targeted species, crappie. This was our 2nd attempt and I told my buddies we just don't know what we're doing, although we do good on the lakes. I'm curious about how other people do on this creek for crappie.

We did keep a few sand bass and Sniper fried them up with french fries, had cole slaw, crackers and dip, and his wife baked chocolate chip cookies. They even gave me the leftovers, along with some cookies. With all that politeness, I was surprised when Sniper said no when I asked him to go warm up my truck. We had fun as usual though while fishing.

MWNB...I had a good time also.....I was real glad you came fishing because we needed the extra ballast on the bow of the boat to keep the boat in trim. 3 fat guys on a bassboat can be a challenge in shallow creeks. Even though the crappie bite was not cooperating...the sandies kept it interesting. I may go out to Ray-Bob Monday morning with my daughters to checkout the deepwater crappie action....you interested? I know Sniper's working so he can't go...let me know if you wanna go....OSB

Fishermen are optimists by nature....their glass is half full and needs more ice : )

Sniper, not interested????? YEAH-RIGHT!
I can go if you can get me back to the dock
by 1130am. Let me know. I will be working
2p-10p through the 17th of Feb.

I was kinda bummed that we havent figured
out the crappie-bite on Denton Creek yet.

Hummmm, wonder if perhaps one of the
Crappie creek-fishing experts on the TFF
would like to sit in my backseat sometime
and show the SNIPER how to catch some
Denton Creek Crappies.

Oh, MWNB, Mrs Sniper continued to give me
grief about my remark about her hospitality
at our post trip fish fry. You remember
which remark... The one in which I had to
quickly get out of fryin pan range after I said it.
