I've posted before about rod holders and most people backed Bee Readys over Driftmaster. I just wanted to get an explanation why. I'll be getting some for christmas and just wanted to be sure which product to buy. So tell me which ones you prefer and why. thanks

BeeReadys! Fully versatile, adjustable, virtually indestructable. I believe that sums it up pretty much...lol

The biggest advantage of the Bee Ready rod holders is that with most rod holders you have to give the rod to the fish in order to retrieve the rod, thus giving the fish a chance to spit the hook. The Bee Ready idea is the best one I’ve seen.

I have used both, and although I prefer the Bee Ready, I currently use the Driftmaster because of availability and versatility. I cannot, for example, simply rotate the Bee Ready rod holders to a different orientation and still use them (to a point, if you see them you will understand the limitations based on how you have them mounted). However, if you fish several rods together and you want to have quick access, low profile and all of your rods close together, their system is great. They also have the individual rod holders for those who want one here and there. Like I said, I have used both and I wouldn't shy away from either.

I have used both and they are both great, I did choose to go with driftmasters on my boat because I fish alone alot and I feel more confident in driftmasters when I get double hookups with big fish. I also use monster rod holders and they are also great !

monster rod holders imho are better than both and i honestly wouldnt trust beereadys to multiple big fish over the same period of time as driftmasters or monsters
fish to live and live to fish

bee readys all the way. no concern of any freshwater fish on multiple rods. your drag will pull or line break before there is a malfunction in the beereadys. use what you wish and when youve tried the rest go with the best.

Another vote for BeeReady rod holders. Have had multiple fish on the the same holder with no problem whatsoever.
I did slam the riser into a 6 inch tree limb once going bout 10 mph. Yep the aluminum riser bent but that base didn't break and the rod holder held. Now a 1400 pound boat going 10 mph has got a lot more kinetic energy than any three or four fish you might ever hook on a single BeeReady.
Like Brent said, you can try all the rest but then you will spend yer money on the best....BeeReady all the way!
