Sunday I made trip 5 to Cedar Creek slinging gizzards. Caught 9 blues. The lake is up and I stuck a stomp in my Nitro about 20 inches in from the stern in the center of the keel. The hole is about the size of a racquet ball. Made it in ok.

Boat is old and I am going to get an Xpress. My question is can a fiberglass shop fix the Nitro when the damage is dead center in the keel?

The first 4 trips netted 17, 11, 25 and 14. Gotta get back on the water.

Thanks,

Woodrow

Woodrow,

I think you should buy a 17 foot Express H51 with a 90 hp motor, carpeted floor, and a spring-loaded 71 pound thrust trolling motor. Just my 2 cents.

I see you are in Edom...
My boat is on lake palestine outside Tyler.

I took my boat to a place in Tyler that did a perfect color match on the fiberglass repair.
You can't even see where the hole was.

Very reasonable too. I was expecting to pay many hundreds more. His shop is around the loop by the mall. I think it is East of 69.

info from his pen I "borrowed"
