Not a lot of pics on this trip due to i was having to much fun catching them. All fish were released back in the water today. But i have some pics of a spot that they were balled up in. -Enjoy.

-This is what the bottom looks like with no fish.

-This is what it looks like coming up on a school of fish.

-And now we are on top of the school of fish in the 2 pictures above.

And this is what happens when you drop your jig down!

-I was getting doubles every other drop of the jigs....

-Here are some bait fish using my boat as cover, and the crappie are coming up from the bottom left to follow the shad that were right next to me.

KaLuB, was out there as well today, so im sure he will post his pictures. i left him trying to catch one more to hit his limit. i caught fish from the mouth all the way up till the depth was 5 foot. magic number was 15 ft. KaLuB's depth was 13 on his graph that he liked to fish in....... but we all have our spots. i probably caught well over 100+ crappie. 90% were keepers. And all are happy and swimming still.

-I am now taking reservations for Rowlett Creek Guided Crappie Trips. Book the trip through my website! Click here for info!

-New report up tomorrow afternoon. Tight lines

Wow, I was out there for a few hours today on the bank. No crappie at all, fished from 66 bridge all the way to firewheel area. Were yall just fishing in the middle of the creek? Thats pretty deep.

great report and photos

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

The bank anglers had serious issues with the snags and the most on the stringer i saw on the other guys stringer was 5 fish. Josh was in his kayak and i was in my FishCat I-9R. Im booking up fast, so reserve your guided trip with me soon or ill be all booked up. -Tight Lines

-Approching the "SSSL".

-Right on top of them....

-Whabap!

We put a dent in the crappie population.........-only kept fish 12 inches and over.

Nice stringer! Glad to see their still biting. Makes mine look kinda dinky, and mine definitely took longer. However, now that I know that spot a little better, I bet I limit much faster! It's amazing how much a few feet, or a slight change in presentation can make. I'll be at the SSSL tomorrow as soon as the work Christmas brunch is over, and likely every day after for the next 2 weeks! smile

yeah, paddled to the mouth last spring... its a driftwood graveyard for hundreds of yards. pretty cool sight, but i would think twice before i took anything motorized through there, and i surely would not take a fiberglass boat.
