VS is gone???!!!! It better not be! Besides all the fishing shows i watch on there, they also so alot of College football games, includeing the Texas Longhorn games when they are playing a game that is not televised on ESPN, ABC, CBS, or NBC.

I have never heard of WFN! I have dish network but dont have the HD package. How much is it to upgrade to HD?

Nevermind i see it. It doesnt matter what HD package you get with Dish Network, you still have to pay and extra $10 per month to get an added Platnum package that has WFN and other channels like NBA HD, NHL HD, and criminal investigation HD. That sucks.

It was free for a while. I guess they decided that they could charge extra for it. That is another $10 on top of the $10 they already charge for HD. I still remember $30 cable and $30/month phone bills. Those days are gone forever.

I wish this was true but the imbalance is year round. I know; this has been a pet peeve of mine and I have done my research.

I used to have Dish Network. When I wanted to upgrade to HD, Dish Network wouldn't work with me. Direct TV gave me everything for free. Unfortunately, Direct TV doesn't have WFN and then they dropped VS.

To show you how bad Direct TVs attraction to hunting is; the "Outdoor Channel" has a fishing line-up on Friday night. Right in the middle of this line-up is a DUCK HUNTING SHOW. Can't they just leave hunting off the TV for a few hours!?!?

Be safe,

I called Dish network and jumped their butt! All I have ever gotten from them people is I'm sorry and a bill. I now have the gold package free for 6 months. They think this will satisfy me but in 6 months I'll come up with something else. WFN is only avaliable in high def.

Is DISH the deal? What is the best "package" from DISH? My contract is up with DIRECT. Just had standard receivers but got a new TV, just got off the phone with them. They will upgrade me to an HD DVR for free but the other 2 HD receivers are going to cost me $99 each.
Really was PO'ed when they dropped VS because of football, outdoor shows and PBR. I have read a lot online and it seems like a Ford vs Chevy type thing.

Dish has it. I think it costs $5.99/month though.

you have to get the premium HD package to get WFN. It is not included in the regular HD Packages.

We dropped DirecTV when they got rid of Versus....it was the last straw. Of course they found a way to stick it to us because the HD set top we bought at Best Buy, was "theirs".

We switched to Verizon Fios....and picked up Versus, several outdoor channels, and WFN...which is awesome.

Been with Direct TV for a couple of years. I get discounts every month for something. Great customer service. And had Direct TV kept Versus you would be paying outrageous prices for it. Would love to see then get WFN. Give it a couple of years and they probably will.

I have Charter digital cable. It is a bit pricey, but I do have Versus. But half the time they are putting skiing , or some other stupid NON-Hunting or Fishing show on. I want a channel that is ALL HUNTING AND FISHING ....ALL THE TIME.
