Fished CC on Friday and had my first bad day. We fished the bridges and shot docks. We managed to boat 15 "keepers". I am new to shooting docks but was sucessful my first time out. This was not the case on Friday. Question? Was it too hot to shoot docks? The average dock depth was 6 to 10 feet and the average water temperature was 89 - 90 degrees. Would brush piles beenbetter? Where did we go wrong?

I fished the docks for a while on Friday too. Caught one fish on the docks from 11:30 to 1:00, then started hitting brush piles and couldn't keep them off of my jigs with a stick!

I didnt fish friday - tues. here at C.C. because Ive been at R.C. and Tawokini but recently I too have been having more luck off brush piles than docks in general. Although I do have a couple of docks that have been producing. The bite has been very soft and unless you really watch your line it may be difficult to detect. make sure your using thin line and fish slow.

I fish Lake Palestine and most of the good crappie have left the docks and moved to brush piles in 18 to 20 feet of water. The water temp in the afternoon is around 90 degrees. I assume the deep water is cooler. This may also be happening on CC.
Good fishing
Aubrey
