I am considering going up in the creeks around Navo this weekend. I have a 16' Deep V Hull boat, will I be able to navigate in those creeks? I have not been on Lewisville yet, so I don't want to go somewhere that I will get stuck.

I wouldn't try that area until you've seen/done it in low water, or have gone with someone who's navigated it before. The water is high and very stained right now with a lot of shallow flooded areas.

I have never fished them but I have seen plenty of pictures here in the last couple of week of some good looking fish.

i run up there on a regular basis & once you get past the 380 bridge it is pretty easy to navigate ( just take it easy til you learn it ) but there are a few really shallow spots to get past just south of 380 try to stay as far to the east as you can for the last 1/2 mile or so. that is where i caught that 32# blue cat last weekend & a few smaller cats but haven't caught any crappie yet good luck

Mark -

I believe those pic's are coming from the west side of the lake, but the Navo area could be doing well too.

yournamehere- Yea I didn't think of that. I was under the impression that all creeks are hot. I too would like to rip a creek a new one but I don't leave the security of my slip very often.
